10 Things to Do (outside of Disney and Universal) While Visiting a Blue Skies “Magic” Property

1. (FAMILY) If you are staying at a Magic Property, you have access to the great resort amenities (Windsor Palms or Bahama Bay). The first thing you should do is take  advantage of the fun that is within walking distance. Pool, spa, splash pads… It’s all included in your stay!
2. (FAMILY) Check out the “Sunset Walk at the Promenade”. This is a modern shopping complex offering retailers, numerous casual eateries & a movie theater. They have a huge arcade, a candy shop, bars, restaurants, and live music! Here are some of our favorite restaurants there: Estefan Kitchen at Sunset Walk (pricier steakhouse),  El Jefe at Sunset Walk (Mexican restaurant), Ford's Garage at Sunset Walk (American and craft beer) and The Wharf (Seafood)
3. (ADULTS) Near the Magic property you can find the Formosa Winery! With over 50  wines from around the world on tap for self-serve tasting, rotating local draft beers,  and seasonal menu items from our bistro - there's always something here for  everyone to taste! Check it out to find a unique central Florida dining destination and memorable wine tasting.
4. (FAMILY) Close to the Magic property, you will find Island H2O Water Park, Orlando's  most immersive and technologically advanced water park. Located right next to the  Margaritaville resort, the park features over 20 experiences, including thrilling slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a children's area.
5. (FAMILY) If a challenging and unforgettable outdoor experience is what you're after,  Orlando Tree Trek is the place for you! This hidden gem is located a little over 5  minutes from the Magic properties.
6. (FAMILY) Discovery Cove- Let me be honest, it’s not cheap, but it’s a great experience! Discovery Cove offers visitors a unique opportunity to interact with  marine life in a controlled environment. They have a ton of stuff on site, including  swimming with dolphins, snorkeling along a coral reef with tropical fish, wading with  rays, and exploring a variety of aviary habitats where they can interact with birds  from around the world. Overall, Discovery Cove offers a unique blend of adventure and relaxation, allowing guests to connect with nature and create unforgettable memories with marine life in a beautiful and immersive setting.
7. (FAMILY) Kennedy Space Center- It’s a bit of a ride (a little over an hour), but visiting  the Kennedy Space Center offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the  history and future of space exploration, making it a must-see destination for anyone  with a passion for science and discovery. Again, it’s a bit of a ride, but if you are into  astronomy/space it’s a must see.
8. (FAMILY) Airboat tours are abundant, kind of cool if you are into seeing gators. An  airboat tour is an exciting and unique way to explore wetland areas, particularly in  regions like the Everglades in Florida, where traditional boats may not be suitable  due to shallow waters and dense vegetation. There are tons of companies, when we  were up there, we went with Wild Willies. If you are really into gators, check out Gatorland.
9. (FAMILY) Daytona Beach/Racetrack- It’s a good 1.5-hour ride from the Magic properties, but if you are looking to “get out of Orlando”, this is a good option. It offers visitors a diverse range of experiences that make it a must-visit destination. It  has great beaches and of course you can visit the Daytona International Speedway. Whether you're seeking relaxation on the beach, adrenaline-pumping motorsports  action, family-friendly entertainment, or cultural exploration, Daytona Beach offers  something for everyone.
10. (ADULTS) The closest golf course near the Magic Properties is the Mystic Dunes Golf Club. It’s a 4 ½ star rated, 72-par public course. The course offers players two distinctly different but equally challenging and enjoyable nines.
